Lorne McLean is an Canadian Artist known for his bold, colorful impressionistic paintings. Lorne works in acrylic and oil and uses different painting tools, methods and techniques in the creation of his artworks.

Some of Lorne’s paintings are more realistic and explore the human figure, nature and the landscape, while other paintings are more abstract and explore: shape, color and light. This juxtaposition between realistic and abstract imagery are what inspire Lorne.

Ideas for Lorne’s paintings come from different sources. According to Lorne: “My paintings are a result of my personal experiences and are created from ideas or colors that I find inspiring. Using: color, texture, detail, light and shadow, Lorne can guide the viewer to look at different areas of interest within his paintings.
